Used Wheelchair

I was pregnant with my 5th child. It was a high risk pregnancy, so medicaid pay for my wheelchair. Now that my child is 8 years old people look at me like what a total low life. Why is she still using her wheelchair? They claim they see me running ok after my kids at the park.

I’m talking about full-time and basically permanent wheelchair use. (Not like a broken leg)

I’m doing a little background research for a story I’m going to write. I know such a condition exists, but I don’t know what it is or what it’s called.

This is applied in a general forward direction. I would say that the pectorals and the anterior deltoids are used. Is there a more specific answer?

Is there anyone who knows how to find grants or funding for this type of improvement? I am a single non working (laid off) mother and have one older child and my mother in the household. Ive been searching and searching looking for grants/funding with no success. Any help would be much appreciated.

So if you practiced the martial arts for 2 to 3 years, you can be good enough to defend yourself from street thug even if you’re wheelchair bound. So is there such a martial arts?

I am re-creating lost’s ‘apollo’ bar, and I would love to know what kind of paper is used to make chocolate bar wrappers. You know the kind that you find on a Club, Galaxy or Kit Kat, kinda thing…

I know it has a slight gloss but I need the actual name for the paper type.

I have a couple of handicaps. Are these enough to keep me from being a surgeon? I have use of both, but I wouldn’t feel comfortable using the left. The right is very good. What are the requisites for being a surgeon?
Thanks all. I would never put anyone at risk, hence the question. My working hand is better than most people’s. I am an artist currently and precision is my profession. I am interested in studying medicine regardless, I was just curious if you needed two full hands.

I use a battery powered wheelchair to get around in. I live in a senior/assisted living home and I use a elevator often. At times I need to back out of the elevator and I can not see behind me. Also at times other people are just standing around blocking my path. I don’t want anything really loud.. just enough to be heard.

My neighbor became angry because he overheard my comments on the annoyance he was creating by blasting his car horn for several minutes because someone was in his parking space. He started calling me horrible names and demanded I come "outside" so he could kick my a***. I am a senior/disabled and use a wheelchair. I called police and he was arrested but immediately released. When he returned, he stood outside my door shouting obscenities and threated to beat me in my wheelchair among other threats the next time he sees me outside. What should I do?

hello I’m mobility training a client using a(electronic) wheelchair
the problem is where the client lives there are no sidewalks
so does the client drive -against traffic or with traffic?
I’m under the impression client should rolled against traffic
so they could see traffic coming..

The wheelchair is the type in which you only use your hands to move it electronically, as if your hand is controlling it using a joy stick. I don’t know if I’m explaining it well but I need a proper name for it because I’m trying to find some reference pictures but I can’t find any wheelchair pics that use only the hand to control the wheelchair rather than the whole arm such as turning the wheel manually.

A close family friend of mine is paralyzed from the waste down and has been confined to a wheelchair for years. Recently he attended a sporting event in Delaware, and was charged to use an elevator. Despite the fact that the elevator was physically the only way he could get to the handicapped seating, he was charged every time he used it. Is this legal?????

There are so many types of wheelchairs on the market; but I would like to get some advice from people who use wheelchairs or have bought them before. What are the absolute must-haves and what should I be looking for when I select a chair? Any manufacturer in South Africa you would recommend?

I’m making something for youtube using clips from different movies (I will obviously give the movies and actors I used credit, put them in the credits, extra info etc) but one of the characters I’m trying to portray has had a significant leg injury and now uses a cane. I need a teen actress who has used this or maybe even just crutches in a movie? If you can only think of a girl in a wheelchair that’s okay.

I’m not in a wheelchair and my legs work perfectly. I was watching king of the hill, the one where bill gets diabetes and starts using a wheelchair. It got me thinking would it be unethical or offensive for me to use a wheelchair purely to strenghten my upper body?
